Lately, I have been gravitating towards gasp-lower heels and when I say lower heels I don’t mean kitten heels. I am referring to heels that don’t have a tranny platform. Never in a million years would I ever think that myself would steer away from sky high heels but it is happening. Don’t worry I haven’t completely converted but that fact that I am even trying different types of heels is ground breaking. Isn’t that what personal style is all about? evolving your look? However there are 2 things I will never own..uggs and polos. These Sam Edelmans just looked so amazing your feet I had to own them.

This past Friday was one of those freakish weekdays that I have off so of course I wanted to hit up some eateries that would otherwise be packed by the usual weekenders. I hadn’t been to Mamma’s in a while and Jason has never been so we went figuring oh it’s friday there won’t be the usual 1-2 hour wait but to our surprise there was. Even thought I am uber impatient I will always wait in that damn line and it is worth it every time, if you live in SF and have never been I suggest you go now! For sure top 5 breakfast places in the city, I mean they have spiked lemonade..what else could you ask for.
Decided to go casual for our morning tryst wearing my “grandma shirt” as jason would call it….it only seemed necessary. This was one of two items I snagged from the Missoni for Target collab. It was luck really, I had just gone into Target to get some essentials and this shirt was hidden in the little boys section and I spotted it a mile away, it was meant to be.
Hope everyone is enjoying their 3 day weekend!

This skirt has been patiently waiting in my closet to come out for a spin. It was one of many deals that I snagged at the Napa Outlets a while back, had to drink a few margaritas to numb the pain after that shopping trip. This skirt was from the Barney’s Co-Op outlet which is honestly amazing, my friend walked away with the Balenciaga Motorcycle Ankle Boots for less than $200! I was beyond jealous..damn my small ass feet.
Kicked off the week just right by hitting up one of the local restaurants near my apartment. Had a craving for Italian so me and Jason headed over to this cozy joint called Stelline. It totally hit the spot, the staff is super nice, warm free garlic bread, and they even have Chianti on their wine menu..talk about win win.
P.S. If you haven’t noticed my crazy blue nail polish well you better get used to it. I am obsessed with the Thakoon for Nars nail polish collection and usually I steer clear of any light colors polishes but this one is so good.

Going to keep this post short and sweet, a dedication to all mother’s and my mother in particular. Even though I wasn’t fortunate enough to spend the day with mommy I thought about her all day. She has been such a positive influence in my life and I don’t know what I would do without her. She is an amazing women and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect mom. Hope everyone reminded their mommy’s how much they mean to them.
On a lighter note…spent the day running around SF catching up on errands but had time to stop by The Grove for some mid afternoon mimosas and picked up a few books at Books Inc. Hope everyone had an amazing mother’s day.

The amazing weather we had this weekend put me in great spirits. Had a very busy sunday full of running around San Francisco and the East Bay. Of course couldn’t resist hitting up the Alameda Flea Market and since I just moved it was only necessary to do some shopping for ma mason, picked up this awesome lime green trunk. One of the downsides to moving, while it is so exciting to decorate this puts a spending freeze on other shopping habits i.e. clothing. After a somewhat exhausting day in Alameda me and Jason proceeded to stop by the Urban Air Market since it was in our hood and all. I wish this happened more than twice a year there were so many amazing local jewelry designers I was having a hard time saying no. Even though I told myself I wasn’t going to buy anything apparel/accessory related for a while just couldn’t resist my lovely necklace purchase (will post pictures soon).
Opted to wear this oversized chiffon-esque blouse which was the perfect amount of coverage to keep my upper body from burning under the crispy sun yet it kept me warm during those gnarly gusts of sf wind. Obsessed is all I can say about this top, it was an impulse no try on purchase that will quickly become a go to.

Proud to say that I am reunited with my old neighborhood and it feels so good. Even though I take a way something from everywhere I have lived in the city for some reason nothing else feels the same as when I am in Hayes Valley. Needless to say that I can’t wait to become reacquainted with old jaunts and find some new ones. It was only appropriate that me and Jason hit up Bean Bag for dinner. Back in the day me and my roommates would go at least once a week usually twice or three times to “study” aka drink cheap beers.
Since I spent all day moving yesterday my closet is in shambles and putting outfits together is semi difficult. Kept it very casual basically threw on whatever was visible… didn’t feel like searching through the black hole that is currently my closet. On a side note, I have been eyeing this skirt a J Crew for a while now but couldn’t bring myself to purchase it at full price for two reasons. #1 being that colored denim really isn’t my thing (denim in general isn’t) and #2 making any summer purchases ie. skirts is just so difficult because they rarely get used in SF. To my delight a random stroll into J Crew turned into a very happy event..my skirt was on sale, for an additional 30% off and they even had my size. Thanking the fashion gods for that one. Don’t you love this cardi? Raided Jason’s closet for this bad boy, it is too comfy, he might not get it back.
Ensemble: J Crew skirt, Nordstrom shirt, Old Navy cardi c/o JDZ’s closet, Converse high tops
Isn’t this necklace awesome! It is the newest darling to be added to my collection, excuse the close up of the ladies.
Yesterday was one of those perfect Sundays when the sun is shinning, the wind is barable, and every San Franciscan is in good spirits, including yours truly. Had the breakfast of champions at Stacks (promise one day I will stop talking about it) and experienced 2 firsts that day those being… no waiting for a table and waking up before 8 am on a Sunday morning. I couldn’t believe the lack of people there were, typically there are groups of people huddle around the coffee stand trying to keep warm while patiently waiting for their mimosas and breakfast. Guess it pays to wake up early. Picked out a pretty standard casual outfit for gallivanting, you cant really see my tee-shirt but I am pretty sure I have had it since high school (just can’t seem to part with it).
Spent the rest of the day running countless errands and then managed to hit up The Plant Cafe for some amazing juice, followed by some aimless roaming down Chestnut. Confession, I am not the biggest fan of juice or smoothies but for some strange reason yesterday I was getting the most ridiculous craving that had to be satisfied. Only heard great things about The Plant Cafe and I do have to say besides the extremely long wait for my fresh squeezed juice it def lived up to its hype. Okay..enough rambling for the night.
Hope everyone had a better Monday than me…mine was BRUTAL!
