Friday Night At The Y

It’s offically the weekend..hooray! Tonight I went to a truely inspiring  event at the Bayview/Hunters Point YMCA. The director of the non-profit I volunteer my time to was given a special award tonight for all of her great work done in the community. The Program, Visions Of La Moda Fashion Stufio For Youth, is such an amazing program based in the Bayview district of San Francisco. It was very powerful to be surrounded by people who donate and give so much of their time and energy to help our youth. Such an amazing event, great way to start off the weekend.

I really need to start posting more pictures of my jewelry. My collection is a tad bit ridiculous I forget what I have and get stuck in a rut wearing the same pieces. Everytime I travel I bring back a piece of jewelry as a momento. Above, my bracelets are from Seattle, Maui, Morocco, my fashionable great grandma and my rings are from Rome and Montreal.

Hope everyone is starting their weekend off right!

Ensemble: Zac Posen for Target dress, Steve Madden boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch, assorted jewels

It is no secret that I am obsessed with Kate Lanphear. Not only am I in total awe of her hair but her style as well. She is so unique! The library collection of pictures I have saved to my computer is rather copious.

I attempted to narrow it down to my 3 favorite pictures of her, definitely a tough task!

Easter Sunday

Hope everyone enjoyed their day yesterday! Spent the day roaming around west portal, strolled around Sutro Hights Park, had Easter dinner with some friends, finished the off night with a movie. Quite a productive day.

Aren’t these shoes amazing!!I bought them at a small boutique in the south of France 2 years ago. I walked by the store everyday, after drooling over them for a few weeks I finally bought the damn things.

Wish this weekend was longer!

Ensemble: Vivienne Westwood shoes, Jolt pants, thrifted blouse, Ray Ban sunnies, assortment of jewelry

Black & White

All this gloomy weather is leaving me no choice but to dress in all black, I attempted to throw in a splash of color, via scarf.

The sweater I am wearing if from Parasuco, a store my mom and I discovered several years ago on a trip to Montreal. We fell in love instantly, whenever we are in Montreal we make multiple stops there since there isn’t one here is the US close to us. Their pieces are so unique.

Went out to dinner and spent the rest of the night strolling through Borders. Picked up some magazines, I could spend an entire day there. It makes me sad that so many bookstores are going out of business.

Ensemble: Parasuco sweater, H&M tights, Jeffrey Campbell boots, D & Y mens scarf, various rings

Flower Power

I bought these colorful shorts last year and they mostly sit in my closet collecting dust. Since they are such a statement I don’t wear them often.  The sweater I am wearing is one of my favorite staple items I own. It was such a deal, got it at Old Navy, fell in love and bought it in 3 more colors.

Yesterday after work me and Jason grabbed some burritos and spent the night in watching movies. Hope everyone is enjoying taco tuesday tonight.

Ensemble: Old Navy sweater, Lily White shorts, Target tights, Sonia Rykiel for H&M shoes, Ray-Ban sunnies, assorted rings

My life currently consists of unpredictable over crowded muni rides, several cups of coffee, over accessorizing, and my new book. My exhausted state has give me the urge to dress super casual.

Quick post! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Ensemble: J Crew pants, Steve Madden boots, Sushina jacket, brothers tee shirt, MK sunnies,

Blue Sky

Excuse my absence, I  spent the week recovering from my Vegas vacation. It was so good to be away from work and the windy weather for a few days. The sunshine in SF has been freakish but I love the feeling of the sun on my skin.

I have been waiting forever to wear these shoes, for some reason they never look right when I wear them during the winter. With all of this sunny warm weather I am realizing the lack of spring clothes I own. You know what that means…time for shopping.

Ensemble: Anthropologie top, BDG jeans, Nine West wedges, Ray-Ban sunnies, MJ watch, Italian bag, various rings and bracelets.
